Trish Hays - Solo Horn
Trish started playing in 1986 (although she doesn't tell us how old she was!) and began on the recorder, treble recorder and flute, as well as learning brass.
Trish isn't originally from Norfolk, and has a strong background in playing with bands 'ooop north', having previously played with Clipstone Colliery Welfare Brass Band for nine years, and then playing with Pleasley Colliery Welfare Brass Band for one year. Trish came to Fakenham in January 2016 after a long break from banding, and we are pleased that she (along with her husband Mark) chose us.
Trish says that she loves every type of music - now that sounds like a challenge!
Trish most enjoys the friendly atmosphere of the band, together with sharing the love of brass music with likeminded people.
Trish says that her most memorable incident was with one of her previous bands, when she arrived for a contest on her baby's due date - and the look of relief on the Musical Director's face!
