Keith Mayes - Third Cornet
Keith started playing brass when he was 8 years old. He is a long-standing member of Fakenham Town Band, although he took a long break before coming back a few years ago. As well as banding, Keith was known to run a disco in the 1970's and 1980's!
Keith says that he likes playing music with likewise people, and he likes all types of music.
His most memorable banding experience was playing in the streets in Olivet (France) and marching with the band. However Keith's most memorable incident was being saved by Steve Wakefield (now Musical Director) when he fell in the marina in Great Yarmouth as he couldn't swim! Good job Steve was a qualified lifeguard!
