Hayley Baxter - Eb Bass
Hayley started her banding career with Fakenham's Junior Band in 2003, moving to the main band in 2004. As well as playing brass, when she was at school Hayley also learned the violin and sang in the choir, played in the string band. Away from Fakenham, she plays with the East Anglian Salvationist Caravan and Camping Band each May in Hunstanton.
Hayley lists her musical 'likes' as anything mainstream and Disney but she likes pretty much anything - if she doesn't like it, it must be bad!
Hayley says that the best thing about being in Fakenham Town Band is meeting new people and the sense of friendship.
Hayley recalls her first main band practice all those years ago, where she cried her way through the first rehearsal as she thought she couldn't do it. She's come a long way since then - and now regularly takes the lead when the bass section takes the lead in a piece of music.
