Dean Davies - Second Horn
Dean joined the band on 3rd cornet in 1987. After while he move through the ranks to the front line before moving to flugel horn in 2002, and then on to tenor horn since 2003. Along with Peter, Dean also used to play with the function band Soul Traders, on trumpet.
Dean likes most types of music, not picking out any particular style. He likes being in the band because he loves playing and enjoys the social side to it.
Dean recalls a particularly unfortunate incident when playing in a solo and quartet contest at St Andrews Hall, Norwich, where his music fell off his stand halfway through. He doesn't tell us how he carried on though - maybe he just busked it!
