Chris Hamel-Cooke - Bass Trombone
Chris started playing brass in 1962, and has an illustrious career in musical theatre. He is a retired composer, musical director, teacher and lecturer.
Before joining Fakenham Town Band, Chris was a member of bands in Royston, and Chertsey & Addlestone. His preferred genre of music is classical, choral and trad jazz.
Chris says that what he likes best about the band is the high standard of musicianship, the interesting repertoire, and the friendship.
His most memorable band-related incident is spending a weekend in Butlins at Skegness for the Mineworkers Festival!
Chris is still writing, playing the organ, and singing in choirs.
