EEb Bass - Shane Vertigan

Shane has been playing in brass bands since the age of seven; starting at Fakenham Salvation Army band where he is now bandmaster. He is very proud to have been able to play in Norwich Citadel Band for a number of years with the highlight being touring South Africa in 1992 with them.

He returned to Fakenham Town Band at the start of 2006 after a short break, initially playing repiano cornet and moving to EEb bass at the start of 2007. Shane regards EEb Bass as his 'real instrument'. He enjoys playing with the Town Band as it gives him the opportunity to play, now that he conducts the Salvation Army band.
