Solo Horn - Amy Wakefield

Amy started playing brass in 1993 at the age of 8, joining Fakenham Town Band shortly afterwards.

Amy's other musical activities include playing piano and guitar for her own pleasure.

Circumstances led Amy to occupy the solo horn seat at an early age, and there is no doubt this has helped Amy to achieve very high standards. After a short break Amy rejoined the band in December 2006

Amy is passionate about the band and paricularly likes seeing the enjoyment given to audiences when the band impresses them.

The moment she will never live down.... when the band were asked by the conductor what 'tranquillo' meant, she replied 'nice'. Well, she knew what she meant anyway! (it actually means peacefully).
