Fakenham Town Band is a non-profit organisation, run
entirely by subscription-paying volunteers. The band has running costs
such as hire of rehearsal room, purchase & maintenance of instruments,
uniforms & music and insurance. These average approximately £6000
per year.
To contribute towards these overheads, a modest charge is made when
invited to play at events.
An indication to our charges is as follows: -

These events typically last approximately 1 hour. The band's
contribution would normally be playing the hymns, playing voluntaries
for 10-15 minutes prior to the service and performance of 1 or
2 solo items if required.

Charity / Community Garden Fete.
Incidental Music.

£135 |
The band will play suitable music from its current repertoire
for up to 1.5 hours, split into sessions not exceeding 1 hour.

Charity / Community Concert.
|
£180 |
The band will perform a staged concert with compere, up to 2
x 45 minutes.
|
Private, non-charity, non-community function.

£180 |
The band will play suitable music from its current repertoire
for up to 1.5 hours, split into sessions not exceeding 1 hour.

Factors that may require adjusting the fee from the
standard charge include: -
* The event requiring greater or less musical contribution from the
band than is typical for the event type
* Catering for music requests that need special purchase, preparation
and/or rehearsal
* If there is extended waiting time for the band between sessions
* Travelling distance outside of the normal 'territory'
Events not in the above categories will be priced individually
mainly based on a) the amount of preparation / rehearsal time and
b) the amount of playing time.
